Since their formation as teenagers in Edinburgh, Young Fathers have garnered widespread acclaim for both their recorded music and frenetic live shows. The trio started 2023 with the release of their fourth album ‘Heavy Heavy’ which was released on February 3rd via Ninja Tune and widely regarded as one of the best albums of the year. ‘Heavy Heavy’ was nominated for the 2023 Mercury Prize, their second nomination after winning the prize itself in 2014 for their debut album ‘Dead’.
